Your Role and Responsibilities

As Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our organization’s information assets. Your role involves implementing and managing security controls, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance on security best practices. You will work closely with other departments and executives to ensure that our data and systems are protected.

Develop and implement information security policies, procedures and standards

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks

Monitor and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic investigations when necessary

Manage access control systems and ensure proper user permissions are in place

Provide security awareness training to employees and promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization

Stay up to date on the latest security threats, trends and technologies

Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners

What we ask you bring with you

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field

At least 3 years of experience in information security roles, with a focus on implementing and managing security controls

Strong understanding of security principles, standards and best practices (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework)

Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and security audits

Excellent communication and interpretational skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Information Security or related field

Experience working in regulated industries, such as healthcare or finance

Hands-on experience with security incident response and digital forensics

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA are preferred
